Want to know How to Treat Premature Ejaculation??

Unfortunately for a man and, more than likely, their partner as well, premature ejaculation (PE) is one of the most common sexual problems and its prevalence can be a real hindrance to fantastic sex and love making.  In fact a session of passion can be over very soon after it started which is not really an ideal situation for anyone involved.

A conservative estimate is that approximately 10 per cent of men experience PE.

Just to confirm, if you are not sure about what PE actually is, premature ejaculation is when the man comes too soon. He climaxes and ejaculates semen from his penis well before he would prefer to during the act of love making and sexual activity, especially significant during intercourse, when for example he may come after only a few seconds or a few thrusts inside his partners vagina.

To get some idea of what might be considered PE or 'normal' length of intercourse there is 2006 Congress of the European Society for Sexual Medicine publication which stated the following findings:
  • the average lasting time of men with PE was 1.8 minutes.
  • 'normal' men lasted an average of 7.3 minutes.
There were apparently, however, men who claimed to have PE and yet stated that they could last up to 25 minutes. There are, therefore, some wide ranging times and it seems quite subjective as to what is considered coming too early. Perhaps then, the question should be 'what can I do to last longer during sex?' rather than what can I do to prevent premature ejaculation.
Why is it so important? The ejaculation itself is not necessarily a problem in itself as it is still pleasurable and is usually combined with an orgasm. The biggest problem is probably that, after ejaculation, the penis will no longer be erect and the male has reached a point of satisfaction which makes any continued sexual intercourse and activity less intense and satisfying especially for the partner.

If you are a man (or women for that matter) it is often a main priority of yours to make sure you perform well during sex that you give your partner a satisfying experience. If you come too early then there may be some mutual disappointment and a feeling of inadequacy. If not dealt with some longer and deeper relationship problems may develop so, like anything that bothers you in a relationship, it's important to talk about it and deal with it. Find a solution, whatever works for all parties concerned.

One solution for PE is to find how to treat it so that you can last longer during love making. There are several ways in which you can treat premature ejaculation and last longer during sexual intercourse, not all of which are mentioned below.

For relatively mild PE some men try to distract themselves during sexual activity by thinking of something other than what they're doing which results in a slightly less feeling of arousal.  Think about the best soccer game or could in your head backwards from 100 to zero for example.

Wearing a condom, in particular an 'extra safe' or thicker lined condom can lead to lasting longer before ejaculation in sexual activity. There are 'long love condoms' on the market that contain a substance known as 'benzocaine' which is a local anaesthetic and reduces sensitivity and therefore helps male longevity during sex.

There is the so called 'penis grip' technique which was developed by therapists Masters and Johnson. Basically when the man feels close to coming, climax and ejaculation he (stops thrusting if performing intercourse and) informs his partner who places her thumb on one side of the erect penis - the side furthest from his body. The index finger is placed one the other side just above the ridge/head of the penis and the middle finger is placed just below the ridge. When thumb and fingers are placed in this position the penis is then squeezed (painlessly) the feelings of arousal and closeness to climax dissipate sufficiently for sex to continue. At this point it's advisable for the man to pay more attention to his partner to allow more time to pass before raising the pace of things again and has added benefit of giving your partner a really good time.

There are other methods and techniques used to prevent and treat premature ejaculation such as drug treatments, constrictive devices and the 'stop - start technique'.

Finding out what works for you can be great fun and if something doesn't work first time and approach this 'problem' with a light hearted attitude and even laughter. Being relaxed above premature ejaculation can actually help you last longer!
